Susie Yazzie, who has lived in Monument Valley all of her life. This image was a winner of the Cowboys & Indians Photo Contest.
Susie was a midwife, herder, weaver, and in later years a prolific model. She died in her 90s in February 2013.
This image was featured on the Arizona Highways Magazine Blog in August 2014.
